Dr. Douglas Bentley is a Fully Licensed Psychologist specializing in individual, couples and family psychotherapy, and maintains a private practice in Ionia, MI, with over 23 years experience as a clinician, and a graduate of Western Michigan University specializing in counseling psychology. He is currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among his areas of expertise are depression, anxiety, marital issues, substance abuse, and psychological testing. Dr. Bentley is also a published Author.
Renee Bentley, MSW, ACSW is a practical, interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. She incorporates a blend of conventional and alternative approaches, drawing upon a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. With sensitivity and compassion, she works with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals. She is currently our Director of Substance Abuse Services. She is a graduate of Grand Valley State University and has 22 years experience as a counselor.
Rev. Bert Nelson has been a practicing substance abuse and mental health counselor for 33 years. He is also a full time pastor for the Lyons Muir Church. Rev. Bert has a Master's degree in Counseling, a Master's Degree in Divinity, and a Master's in Business Administration. He has been a business owner as well as a pastor of a church along with his counseling career.
Dr. Bentley has a doctorate in counseling psychology.
